Ailsa Craig

Ailsa Craig, originally uploaded by digital-eye.

I captured this image with my iPhone whilst on the Irish Sea. The formidable rock is Ailsa Craig, an uninhabited island formed by the volcanic plug of an extinct volcano. I was impressed by the quality of the image, taken on my phone through a window, whilst the ferry was moving. It just goes to show how digital technology has advanced photography and reminds me that I don’t have to always have my DSLR (plus collection of lenses) to take an acceptable photograph.
