Tungsten light used behind the subject with pinkish tissue paper used to diffuse the light and give a coloured background, since most of the angel is white and any detail around the edges would have been lost in the white light in the centre of the frame. I took this photo in my kitchen because it has no windows and no other sources of light. This enabled me to control the light in how it was to be positioned.
