In Available Light I learnt about situations I might find myself in and how to adjust in particular my camera’s white balance setting to counteract this. As well as adapting to the lighting conditions photographers are also able to manipulate lighting to their own advantage. Lighting set ups can be very costly, but there are other ways of achieving the same effect, on a smaller scale.
Photographic lighting can be on-camera flash or off-camera. Previously my camera would often determine whether flash was needed by popping up unexpectedly. This can be a life-saver however if not controlled properly it can ruin an image. Therefore in this section I hope to discover how I can control light and use flash to my advantage.
